Communicating in Business English

The Communicating in Business English course will allow you to improve language skills critical for your professional success. Students will practice English through various real-world simulations. This course is intended for individuals with an intermediate to advanced level of English proficiency. Our program includes the following topics:

Classes take place in downtown DC near the McPherson Square and Farragut North Metro stations.

Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
5 hours* per week, in 8-week sessions

*Each instructional hour is 50 minutes in length

** In the event an applicant does not meet the proficiency requirement for a given course, the student has the option to have the registration fee refunded or applied toward another course. ICLS reserves the right to cancel a class due to lack of enrollment. In the case of lack of enrollment, the registration fee will be refunded. ICLS students, currently enrolled in any other ICLS program, are exempt from paying a registration fee.

Intensive English Program (IEP) includes daily practice of speaking, listening, and reading and writing, with a strong emphasis on conversation and pronunciation.

Designed to meet the diverse needs and busy schedules of our students; private classes are customized to help our students achieve their unique academic, professional, or personal goals.

This course combines morning classes in our Intensive English Program with two hours of private customized Business English classes in the afternoons.

Classes emphasize a variety of critical Business English skills including meetings, negotiations, presentations, workplace writing, and more.

ICLS has more than 20 years of experience teaching TOEFL prep. Our program includes effective test-taking strategies that are specific to the TOEFL® iBT exam, authentic practice of all four skills, mock testing, and individual feedback.
